Pixium Vision is a French pre-commercial stage company developing a bionic vision solution for people who have lost their sight due to Dry Age-related Macular Degeneration (Dry AMD). Dry-AMD is the main source of blindness with a large addressable market (400K patients in the US only). By leveraging advanced visual processing, micro-electronics, opto-electronics, neurobiology, and intelligent software algorithms, Pixium Vision has developed the Prima System, a bionic vision system currently in Phase 3 clinical trial. Positive results from first implanted patients with the Prima system are showing meaningful gain of vision post implantation.
